Jennifer Garner is reportedly coming back as Elektra for Deadpool 3, which is a huge surprise, according to a story from THR today.
Elektra, which came out in 2005, was the first time Garner played the famous killer. Even though the movie didn’t do well at the box office and got bad reviews, Garner’s acting was praised by most people.
It’s a return for Garner with Ryan Reynolds, who plays Deadpool 3’s main character, and Shawn Levy, who is in charge of the movie’s direction. All three of them worked together on Netflix’s The Adam Project.
Deadpool 3 is currently being made. Returning star Stefan Kapicic revealed this in May, and photos from the set have started to make their way around the internet. Even though the writers’ strike is still going on, many productions have stopped. However, Marvel Studios is moving forward with Deadpool 3, since the story was finished before the strike was called in May.
Deadpool 3 is set to come out on May 3, 2024. However, if SAG-AFTRA calls for a strike, it’s possible that the movie’s production will be affected. The guild for Hollywood actors recently asked companies to push back their deadline until July 12.
Hugh Jackman, who played Wolverine in the first two films, also comes back as Wolverine in Deadpool 3. Garner is the latest big name to play a big part in the third movie. Brianna Hildebrand, who plays Negasonic Teenage Warhead, is back, as is Shioli Kutsuna, who plays Yukio, Kapicic, who plays Colossus, Morena Baccarin, who plays Vanessa, Rob Delaney, who plays Peter, Karan Soni, who plays Dopinder, and Leslie Uggams, who plays Blind Al. But it looks like Zazie Beetz will not be back as Domino.
Jennifer Garner is reportedly returning as Elektra in Deadpool 3, alongside Ryan Reynolds. The movie is currently being made and set to release in 2024.
